Xanthos - Letoon - Patara Ancient Cities

We'll pick you up from your location, and after approximately 75 minutes of travel, we'll reach Xanthos Ancient City. This site, worthy of UNESCO World Heritage status, is one of the most important ancient structures in our country. Xanthos, one of the most important cities and administrative centers of Lycia in ancient times, fell under the influence of civilizations such as the Persians, Romans, and Byzantines. A city coveted by civilizations and constantly sought after, Xanthos Ancient City is a must-see with its many standing structures.

Our next stop after Xanthos Ancient City is Letoon Ancient City. It is claimed to have been founded in the 7th century BC and is another important city of Lycia. Letoon, known as the religious center of the Lycian Civilization, is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

And the last stop of the day is Patara Ancient City. Patara, which had three voting rights during the Lycian Union period, was evidently of great importance at that time. Dating back to the 5th century BC, Patara Ancient City continued to be a significant city even during the Roman Empire period after the Lycian era.
